The answer is most likely NO. In the past years, October was known to experience some of the worst catastrophic storms like Hurricane Mitch (1998), Wilma (2005), and Michael (2018).
Some states have faced the most vicious hurricanes in the month of October such as Florida, “of the 112 recorded hurricanes to have struck the Sunshine State since 1950, 38 have occurred in October.”
According to the Washington Post, researchers have warned that we should begin to watch for what might come from the northwest Caribbean starting between October 7 and 10. Whatever that wants to organize there may form a system and evolve into a tropical depression. The National Hurricane Center estimates there is only a 30% chance this could happen, so we can still enjoy the relief from the recent storms. There is no immediate concern, but who knows?
